Some notes to self:
1) Macro photography:
a) Leave IS turned off
b) Use a ring flash adapter with manual flash set to full power
c) Focus manually
2) Palace photography in Asia:
a) EF 17-40 on 1.6 crop-cam yields to most natural-looking pictures
