Once again I congratulate Barack Obama on his successful election to the office of President of the United States. Good job, Barack, now the hard work begins.

The photograph of the day today is a plaque written in Chinese characters which reads, "Gate of Brilliant Governance." Asians in ancient times and present often placed plaques above entrances to important administrative and religious buildings to inspire them to remember the ideals which their societies are founded upon.

I wouldn't mind seeing some American Gilded Age plaques brought back, such as "Impossible is un-American." Barack did it. We did it. Time to set things right in America and the World. God bless America.

This is a picture of this great ghetto not far from where I work downtown. I'm sure the locals don't think much of it, but as far as photographic possibilities goes, this place is heaven to me.
